Spider-Man 3 Review
Since Cullen won't do it, I'll step in.
As comic books go, I'd consider myself more of a DC fan. It's not that I have something against Marvel; I just didnt read them. That being said, I really enjoyed the first two Spidey movies, with 2 being the best. Spidey 3 looked pretty good from the previews but one thing I noticed from the start was that there were a lot of villains. RED FLAG.
I hasnt worked in other movies [SEE Batman Forever; I would say Batman & Robin but that movie didnt happen]. Well, the 3 villain formula didnt in Spidey 3 either. The third introduced us to Sandman, the new Goblin (Harry Osbourne) and Venom. They had one too many. They should have left out Sandman; the movie tried to make us care about him and explain that he's criminal only to save his daughter. blah blah. didnt care. And I've seen the scenes of huge character made of sand before - it was called the Mummy.
Bright spots from the movie: Bryce Dallas Howard (as Gwen Stacy). damn she looked hot as a blonde, especially considering that she was preggers during the filming. Tobey Maguire and James Franco were very good once again. But the scene stealers were Topher Grace as the venom/eddie brock (he was pretty damn funny) and Bruce Campbell cameos as a maitre 'd (hilarious scene).
All in all, i give it a B-. Could have been much better if they left out Sandman and expanded on the other villains and given more screen time to Bryce.

McRoberts??? Pro???
Normally I'm happy when a Duke player jumps ship early but McRoberts??? I wish he would stay. Watching him cry on the Duke bench when the Tarheels beat them In Cameron (again) was priceless. Let me taste your tears Josh. Mmm delicious.

Prime Time!
If anything good came from all the news today of the Manning family's 1st title, it was all the ads for this summer's blockbuster. I wasn't excited about it at all, until I saw this trailer.
