A Serious Question

The situation at South Carolina raises some serious questions. How common is cheating in NCAA football / men's basketball? What can be done about it? And, perhaps more importantly, why is the SEC so bad at it?

Is it just perception or is the SEC really that desperate to win that they cheat a lot, enough to get noticed, especially since "everyone is doing it." I mean non-SEC schools have been terrible (Baylor, SMU, Ohio State), but it seems that SEC schools get caught more. Alabama, Auburn, Kentucky, Georgia, Tennessee, and now the cocks. What's up with that?
