Other famous Winstonians
Going along with Joey's post, I looked at Jill Wagner's profile on IMDB.com...pretty sweet.
Then I looked at the other people IMDB has listed as at least being born in Winston (just click on the link under Jill Wagner's name).
Did anyone else here know that Howard Cossell (yes that one), Chicago Cub great Mark Grace, and Pam "Foxy Brown" Grier were all from Winston-Salem?
And knowing is half the battle,

I knew about Mark Grace since place of birth was on some of his baseball cards. Didn't know about the other ones.
I didn't notice Jill in the TGIF commercial, I was too busy looking at the shrimp.
I also didn't notice her in Junebug, of course she was only in it for like 2 minutes. Pfafftown or not, this movie sucked.
They took off her North Shore credit on IMDB. It's like she was erased from the show's existence. At least for other actors they usually put something like "uncredited" or "scenes deleted" when they get dumped from a movie/show.
I saw Brokeback last night. Don't know what all the fuss was about. You take away the controversial theme and this is a below average movie with nice-looking back drops (every once in a while) of the mountains. The acting was average at best. Heath Ledger sounded like a transplanted Australian in Lexington, NC with that accent (very weird). And no one will EVER convince me that Michelle Williams deserved an Oscar nomination for this role. She was average and only in the movie for like 15 minutes. Even Anne Hathaway did better than her. Or Anna Faris with her 2 minutes of screen time.
