UNC and KU
It sucks to lose the first weekend of the tournament (I know, Roy used to coach at KU), but considering how no one had any expectations for either team in the preseason, they still had really good years. It's amazing that Self and Roy have both lost in the first round twice in their first three years at their new schools.
I hate UConn. Calhoun is dirty, and I hope Kentcuky is able to come back and win this damn game.
Arizona - Nova should be good later today.

That being said, even Wake beat George Mason!
Fortunately (or unfortunately, I guess) CBS showed the bulk of the UNC-George Mason game. Man, it was ugly. We started out so hot and then handed them the game. My observations:
1. Spotting George Mason ten straight points after halftime was a bad idea. We didn't protect the basketball at all. Roy should've called a TO after the first two turnovers.
2. When you are down towards the end of a game, why would you let the shot clock run down to zero and jack a desperation three??? We did that twice in the last four minutes.
3. Maybe Hansborough will stay after all. The physical play of George Mason shut him down and frustrated him. Last time I checked, the NBA was a physical league.
4. David Noel. Talk about heart: that sprint down the court to block that shot at the end was awesome. He summed up his whole career in one play.
5. Scared. We played with no confidence or swagger. Psycho T looked like Fraidy T for much of the game. I think this UNC team feels more comfortable and plays better as an underdog.
ALSO
5. MVC : I'll concede that Jav and Clark Kellogg were right. Bradley and Wichita St look pretty good; Maryland, FSU have been disappointing in the NIT; I just feel bad for Maryland because they played such a balls out tough schedule, and sympathize for FSU bc they might have won at Duke as well were it not for the phantom technical foul.
