Yeah, yeah

Those FIFA rankings are a joke. They weight every region the same, and the Gold Cup counts as an international tournament even though it is in the U.S. every time. So the U.S. gets credit for winning a "neutral" game in tournament play even though it's really a home game. Granted, they're doing well in qualifying, but they are still overrated. For example, if the U.S. were to beat Panama in the final of the Gold Cup (in the U.S.), should that count the same as Brazil beating Argentina in the final of the Copa America (anywhere in S. America)? This is true for any team hosting a tournament, but the advantage the U.S. has is they are hosting one every two years. U.S. is good, but they are not a top 6 team. Nor are we a top 23 team the way we're playing right now.

My thoughts on U.S. players...
Eddie Pope should have gone to Europe when he had the chance. Too old and injury prone now.

Clint Mathis should have signed with Bayern Munich before WC2002. Riding pine in MLS must really sting now.

After watching Freddie Adu in the Under-20 World Youth Championships, I believe Adu may be the first player ever to pass his prime at 16. He sucks right now. Should've gone to Europe to hook up with a youth team over there (Juventus, AC Milan, Inter Milan, and Parma were all interested).

Donovan must be a pussy, because as good as he is for the U.S. and MLS, he sucked ass in Europe.

The U.S. should sell us a goalkeeper. All of ours suck; all of theirs are awesome.

We should sell the U.S. some fans. All of theirs suck; all of ours are awesome.

Agoos is finally gone. All they need now is to get rid of Hejduk, Reyna, and Eddie Lewis (and Bruce Arena but that will never happen) and I can actually pull for the U.S. in soccer. I like their younger players like Donovan and Beasley, but some of their older assholes need to go.
