As much as I hate to say it, Duke should run the table easily in the ACC next year. Maryland might surprise them again, and BC returns most of its team which had a strong start last year. Maybe Ga Tech will rise fromthe ashes of a disappointing year?
Also, I don't know if you guys have heard, but I'm moving back to North Carolina. Coach Williams offered me a full ride for grad school and I'll be starting at shooting guard for the Heels next year. Denard, I gave him your name for the power forward position since coach Williams accidently "misplaced" Byron Sanders on a recent trip to Mexico.

Yes, Carolina will suck next year. And while most Wake fans like Jav and my parents are absolutely giddy about this, I dont understand why any UNC fan would let this faze them. Your best argument for the next 11 months will be: "UNC - defending National Champions". The rest of us have no answer for that one (though I'm sure Jav will come up with something).

I don't know why Wake fans are so happy about the struggles of UNC. Who exactly is Wake clearly better than next year (on paper), with or without E. Williams? UNC, GT, UVA? BC is going to be good. Clemson returns their nucleus and they played well down the stretch. Maryland - addition by subtraction (good bye gilchrist, hello DJ strawberry). Unless Gray is going to play 40 minutes a game, Wake has no point guard. And making him a ball handler will hurt his shooting (see, Hill, Chris - MSU) What other shooters do you guys have? I don't think Wake fans are in much better shape honestly.

I agree. Wake has a lot of problem areas heading into next season, especially if Eric Williams leaves.
If E. Williams come back, we've got 2 All-ACC players coming back (not necessarily 1st team). We've also got guys who saw regular minutes (Strickland, Ellis) a 4-star recruit and a 4-star redshirt recruit. UNC is losing its top 7 players. Even without Williams, I don't see how this compares. One Justin Gray and a couple of role players is better than anything UNC is bringing back. We may suck, but UNC will suck more, and that is a good thing for me. Too bad Duke will be so good.
And as for Dickhead's comment, national championships are forgotten quickly when a team plays poorly the following year. Did anyone care that Ga Tech was a finalist last year when they were a bubble team late in the year? They'll be defending champs on paper only.

First, I never said that UNC wasn't going to be bad...I just said its not like Wake is going to be that much better. That whole not having a point guard thing...It's not like Eric Williams can create for himself. Plus, having Gray handle the ball so much will definitely affect his outside shot...look at the difference in say a chris duhon when he got to play with jay williams and then when he was the primary ballhandler...night and day.
As for your point about GT...come on, jav...people forgot them b/c they were the runners-up. No one (other than people with too much time on their hands - like me) remembers who finishes second. It didn't help that they played poorly, but UNC will always be champs for 2005. I'll take that anyday.
this is D by the way
E. Williams has "mad" PG skills. Why do you think he's declaring early?
